A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.

He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

"The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

"The same goes for life.
"If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Play with your children.

"Take time to get medical checkups.

"Take your partner out to dinner.

"Play another 18.

"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.

"Set your priorities.

"The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

One beautiful keerthana written by Annamaiyya described the Lord as little krishna learning to walk

Bhavayami Gopala Balam ... Mana Sevitham ,
Tat padam chintayeyam sada
(This mind bows down in obescience to Gopala in his form as a little child and always contemplates on his lotus feet)
kati ghatitha mekhala , khachita mani ghantika
(Little Krishna is wearing a mekhala (ornament) on his hip which is studded with with jewels and mani's)
Patala ninadena vibharaja manam
(he has a radiant charm ...and appears resplendent due to the tinkling of his ornaments)
kutilapada ghatitha samakula chintitenam
(he makes crooked and uneven steps and being the Lord himself ....
he is confused with his inability to make straight and proper steps)
chatula natanam samujala vilasam
(Even with his uneven steps , his unsteady gait resembles a graceful dance!)
niratakarakalita navaneetham
(butter overflows from his little hands as he walks,)
bramhadi ,suranikara bhavana shopitapadam
(Lord Brahma, all the gods and humans have assembled on this auspicious occassion
to see the little lord ! )
thiruvenkatachala sthitam anupamam harim
paramapurusham gopala balam
(Annamaiyaa praises Bala Gopala as the unparalleled supreme perfect Lord who is an excellent actor and plays his role of a little child stealing the hearts of his devotees! )

gunde ke gayam chesi... ninudu ga navvestundii...
pundu pai karam challi... puvvulee challestundii..

manasulo chotistunnata... maataale daachestundii...
poota ko matanu marichi... aatalee pattistundi

papa la muddu vastundi... paduchu la kavvistundi...
vennelaa veedistundi... vedinchu champestundi...

Coincidence?I think not!

Sitting around one night. I remembered this song, I had always liked it so I thought I would see if I could find a copy and the lyrics.

Ue o muite arukoo -- I look up when I walk
Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni -- So the tears won't fall
Omoidasu haru no hi -- Remembering those happy spring days
Hitoribotchi no yoru -- But tonight I'm all alone
Ue o muite arukoo -- I look up when I walk
Nijinda hoshi o kazoete -- Counting the stars with tearful eyes
Omoidasu natsu no hi -- Remembering those happy summer days
Hitoribotchi no yoru -- But tonight I'm all alone
Shiawase wa kumo no ue ni -- Happiness lies beyond the clouds
Shiawase wa sora no ue ni -- Happiness lies above the sky
Ue o muite arukoo -- I look up when I walk
Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni -- So the tears won't fall
Nakinagara aruku -- Though my heart is filled with sorrow *
Hitoribotchi no yoru -- For tonight I'm all alone
(whistling) -- (whistling)
Omoidasu aki no hi -- Remembering those happy autumn days
Hitoribotchi no yoru -- But tonight I'm all alone
Kanashimi wa hoshi no kage ni -- Sadness hides in the shadow of the stars
Kanashimi wa tsuki no kage ni -- Sadness lurks in the shadow of the moon
Ue o muite arukoo -- I look up when I walk
Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni -- So the tears won't fall
Nakinagara aruku -- Though my heart is filled with sorrow *
Hitoribotchi no yoru -- For tonight I'm all alone
(whistling) -- (whistling)

The most common ligature is the “&” (ampersand). This was originally a combination of the letters “e” and “t”, et, the Latin for “and”. However, the ampersand is generally no longer considered to be a ligature–but that’s how it started out.

1. After the telemarketer finishes speaking, ask him/her to marry you.

2. Tell the telemarketer you are busy at the moment, and ask him/her, if he/she will give you his/her home phone number so you can call him/her back.

3. Ask them to repeat everything they say, several times.

4. Tell them it is dinner time, BUT ask if they would please hold. Put them on your speaker phone while you continue to eat at your leisure. Smack your food loudly and continue with your dinner conversation.

5. Tell them that all business goes through your agent, and hand the phone to your five year old child.

6. Tell them you are hard of hearing and that they need to speak up.... louder...louder...louder!

7. Tell them to speak very slowly because you want to write every word down.

8. If they start out with, "How are you today?", say "I'm so glad you asked, because no one these days seems to care, and I have all these problems............."

9. Cry out in surprise, "Helen, is that you? I've been hoping you'd call! How is the family?" When they insist they are not Helen, tell them to stop joking. This works especially well if the telemarketer is really MALE.

10. Tell the ICICI call center guy to call on your Office number.- and give him the HSBC call center number.
